THE ROLE:

The Commercial Manager is responsible for the commercial aspects of all shops/agents within the allocated African country controlling Minimum Control Standards (MCS), increasing sales through best working practices, monitoring P&L to maximize sales and minimize loss, ensure total compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures and all franchise/agent agreement articles.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews/analyses sales, finds reasons for increase/decrease, and writes an action plan on how to improve.
  • Studies a MCS for each shop and elaborates a plan with a calendar.
  • Reviews all training records and plans a monthly training calendar.
  • Ensures that all managers & staff are trained to the required standards, providing appropriate training & development plans for all and ensuring completion.
  • Conducts appraisals for managers with regularly meeting with them to set common goals, and delegates key tasks to them to maximize their potentials.
  • Follows up closely on staff performance and productivity
  • Maintains excellent communications with shop managers, and healthy relations with superiors discussing with them any pending issues related to the operation.
  • Completes daily, weekly & monthly schedule of tasks, activities, programs and initiatives.
  • Follows up on customer complaints and collects feedback.
  • Maintains adherence to company standards and policies at all times.
  • Sets a challenge for shop managers/agents to increase sales/reduce costs.
  • Spot checks visits for inventory count approved products used and sold, looks for any discrepancies and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Creating awareness and developing the sales network.
  • Draft marketing budgets and executing it after being approved liaising with operations manager.
  • Ensuring all outlets are setup in good conditions and products are always running.
  • Submits monthly and quarterly reports for sales/margin performance.
  • Motivating and supporting store managers with specific issues, such as staffing and business management.
  • Sets ideal staff count v Actual and works on recruiting suitable staff.
  • Performs other duties pertinent to the position job as assigned by line manager.
  • Communication & Working Relationships
  • Works closely with store managers and operations manager to ensure the consistent implementation of company standards
  • Coordinates with different departments in head office to guarantee effective communication
  • Interacts with customers to follow-up on their satisfaction, requests, and complaints
  • Manages direct reports and operational issues on a daily basis

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in any field.
  • Excellent operations knowledge of retail or hospitality.
  • Skills in managing people, setting goals/targets, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Fluent English and ideally French.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Leadership, strong Personality and Charisma.
  • Ideally experience from gaming and lottery but if not, at least a genuine interest of sports betting and lottery.
  • Be flexible with working hours and happy be able to handle challenging environments

FINANCE MANAGER

FINANCE MANAGER

THE ROLE:

The Finance Manager will work with the Operations manager in each prospective country and with the guidance of the Financial Controllers based in London. The Finance Manager is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management of the operation, to include the development / execution of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the on-going development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results in a timely manner. This is a unique and high-profile opportunity, working for a company with a clear vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Finance Department
  • Working in partnership with the CEO, Group CFO and Controllers in London, to generate financial plans, budget, to develop and implement long term business / funding strategy and cash-flow management
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of senior operation management tea
  • Assist in formulating the operations future direction and support tactical initiatives
  • Manage the accounting, legal, tax, and treasury departments as required
  • Working with the Controller to implement financial management and month ending process.
  • Partnering with the Controller to develop and lead the company’s approach to risk, and fulfil any regulatory requirements and further evolve the financial policies and processes
  • Preparation and overseeing reconciliation of daily cash transfers and finance reports
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems and ensure transparency of accounts
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the operations risk profile
  • Construct and monitor reliable control systems
  • Ensure the operation complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors, gaming board and government agencies
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Maintain banking relationships and accounts
  • Regular field visits to ensure investment has been utilised as intended
  • Preparation of year-end accounts, and managing the annual audit and filing of statutory accounts with authorities.

Skills and Experience:

  • A Qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) or QBE or Accounting degree from a top university.
  • Proven track record of managing a finance function in a fast paced and complex environment.
  • Ideally with some experience of managing a small team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French
  • Sound understanding of French accounting best practice
  • Advanced expertise with Tally, or Sage Accounting Software (incl. Data-Import)
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ staff management experience, ideally leading a Finance team within a fast paced and complex business environment
  • Experience in emerging market environments
  • Good knowledge of retail or gaming industry
  • Experience in a service / people orientated environment would be particularly advantageous

We support electronic equipment that is used all around Africa with spare parts and equipment stocks. And now is seeking experienced Electronics Technician to oversee its spare-parts and maintenance department. This is an immediate, full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with local partners and staff
  • Manage and develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation according company polices
  • Carry out inspections in the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Plan and oversee all maintenance as repair activities

THE ROLE:

Based in Nairobi Kenya we are looking for an expert in Mobile Money to coordinate all aspects of development between the local providers, development teams in Bucharest and London and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring ongoing quality of service and facilitating USSD setup across regions. The role will include travel throughout Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with mobile network operators across the continent and create network of contacts
  • Coordinate technical delivery between network operators and development teams
  • Facilitate commercial agreements between London, Paris and networks
  • Identify new mobile payment opportunities and present benefits cases
  • Ensure service quality throughout lifetime of agreements. Liaise with networks throughout downtime and service interruptions
  • Identify potential USSD partners

Skills and Experience:

  • Solid experience working in mobile payments
  • Good technical understanding of mobile money is essential
  • Knowledge or experience in gambling industry is desirable
