Recruitment and travel related questions:
Can you please tell me more about the environment and the country I will be moving to?
For those who are applying for African based roles, because of the number of new joiners, rotations and promotions occurring across the Operations, it is vital that you are flexible as the Operation you will be assigned to will only be confirmed on completion of your induction. We will take into consideration your preferences and even if in the first instance we are not able to accommodate these, we will ensure these are considered in the future should any suitable positions arise.
Is it a safe workplace? What safety measures does Editec provide for its consultants?
The countries we are present in are fairly safe and we do value our Consultants’ safety above all and take appropriate steps to ensure all measures are in place for the welfare of all employees. We monitor political stability and if required we withhold operations on day should any risks be posed. In case of emergencies, our travel team is available around the clock to provide full support and if required, book or arrange reallocation to a safe region.
Who will handle my visa? Will the company cover the cost of my flight directly or would I have to pay for it first then get it reimbursed?
The travel department handles all your travel and accommodation requirements including applications for visas. We book your flight tickets and hotel. We will further direct you to medical clinics to ensure you have all the vaccinations before you travel.
Who will support me when I arrive in the country?
A driver carrying a sign with your name on it will be waiting for you in the airport to drive you to your accommodation and to the Company’s premises – the Operation Manager will be providing you with all details needed upon arrival.
